Cadence Pharmaceuticals Inc has recalled one lot of Ofirmev, an injectable painkiller, due to the presence of an unidentified particle in a vial.
According to Reuters, Cadence found the unidentified particle after a routine stability test. The company has temporarily stopped shipments of the recalled lot from the supplier. The lot was distributed to wholesalers, hospitals, distributors in January 2011.
There have been no reports of injury related to this drug recall.
