CYBEX Stroller Recall

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada  have announced a voluntary recall of approximately 1,190 CYBEX umbrella strollers in the U.S. and Canada. The strollers have been recalled because they could pose a risk of fingertip amputations and lacerations to children.

The recall includes the following models of the CYBEX umbrella stroller:

• Ruby
• Onyx
• Topaz

*CYBEX is printed on the side of the strollers.

There has been one report of a child placing his finger in the hinge mechanism, resulting in a finger fracture.

The strollers have been sold at department and juvenile product stores across the nation between August and November of 2009.
