Generation 2 Worldwide and ChildESIGNS Drop Side Crib Recall

Generation 2 Worldwide and "ChildESIGNS"  Drop Side Crib Brands have been recalled following reports of 3 infant deaths.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning parents and caregivers who own the Generation 2 Worldwide and "ChildESIGNS" cribs that infants and toddlers are at risk of serious injury or even death caused by strangulation and suffocation hazards produced by the crib.

The CPSC is urging parents and caregivers to stop the use of these cribs immediately and not to attempt to fix the crib.

The problem is occurring when the crib's plastic hardware becomes broken and the drop side of the crib breaks free from the corner of the crib. This then creates a space where the infant can become trapped. The crib's mattress support can also detach from the crib frame, creating space for the child to become trapped as well.

In addition to the 3 reports of death, the CPSC has also received reports of 20 other drop side incidents, along with 8 reports of the mattress support becoming detached.

If your child has been injured involving a Generation 2 Worldwide or "ChildESIGNS" drop side crib you may be entitled to compensation.
