Charlene Miller

Charlene Miller has been teaching special education in the state of Massachusetts since 1991, in both the private and public sectors. She received her Master’s Degree in Moderate Special Needs in 1995, and is also trained or certified in several specialized reading and language based-programs. In addition to teaching, Charlene is a training specialist for the MCAS- alternate assessment. In this role, she teaches and assists teachers in her own, and in neighboring districts about how to best compile MCAS-alt portfolios based on the requirements set forth by the Department of Education. For the last six years, Charlene has worked at the Massachusetts Department of Education’s MCAS-alt summer scoring institute, as both a scorer and as a table leader. Charlene currently teaches grades 9-12, and resides with her husband, a school psychologist and Team Chairperson, and their three, school-aged sons.
