Lenovo is expanding a previous recall to include 13,000 desktop computers because of a potential fire risk.
The company previously issued a recall for 50,500 units of the Lenovo ThinkCentre M70z and M90z computers in March. The problem lies in “a defect in the internal component in the power supply can overheat and pose a fire hazard,” according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall is being expanded because Lenovo says it received reports of one smoke incident and one fire incident.
No injuries have been reported associated with the recall.
