GranuFlo Side Effects Deemed Life Threatening

dialysis machineGranuFlo® is a drug used in kidney dialysis treatments that has been linked to reports of life-threatening side effects. The drug manufactured by Fresenius Medical Care, has been linked to:

  • Heart attack
  • Cardiopulmonary arrest
  • Cardiovascular death
  • Sudden cardiac death
  • Other cardiovascular injuries

If GranuFlo side effect symptoms arise following dialysis, patients should seek medical attention immediately. Pursuing a Granuflo lawsuit can help pay for the medical costs associated with these side effects.

File a GranuFlo Lawsuit

Filing a Granuflo lawsuit can help you get the compensation you deserve if you have chronic kidney failure or require dialysis treatment and have experienced adverse side effects. Fresenius Medical Care, the maker of GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte®, is aware that its products can cause alkalosis, a condition associated with an increase in cardiovascular death and catastrophic cardiovascular injuries. In fact, on March 29, 2012, Fresenius issued an “urgent product notification” with “important prescribing information” warning about increased risk associated with these products.

Fresenius Withheld Information on GranuFlo Dangers

Fresenius withheld information about the adverse effects risk, which came from its own internal analysis of GranuFlo® or NaturaLyte® in dialysis patients. An internal memo from Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMC) dated Nov. 4, 2011 indicates that FMC had knowledge that their GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte® dialysis products significantly increased the risk of cardiac arrest and death during hemodialysis treatments. If you are receiving dialysis with GranuFlo and have been injured by the drug, you may be able to pursue a GranuFlo lawsuit.
