Drake is committed to helping clients hold corporations accountable when their actions cause harm. He works alongside clients and fellow attorneys throughout every stage of litigation, from legal research and discovery to case development and strategy.
He believes successful advocacy starts with careful preparation, strong collaboration, and keeping clients informed throughout the legal process.
"Clients deserve to know what's happening with their case and to feel confident someone is looking out for their best interests."
Before joining Sokolove Law, Drake gained experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, class actions, contract disputes, and constitutional law.
"When corporations fail to do the right thing, the legal system gives people the opportunity to seek accountability," Drake said.
Background & Education
Before entering private practice, Drake spent more than a year researching emerging legal issues involving genomic editing, CRISPR technology, and other areas of biolaw. That experience sharpened his ability to analyze complex scientific and technical issues — skills he now applies to mass tort and class action litigation.
He also served as a judicial law clerk in the Johnson County District Court in Kansas, where he gained valuable insight into courtroom procedure, judicial decision-making, and the civil litigation process.
During college, Drake competed on the University of Illinois Springfield's mock trial team, participated in track and field, and received the Brother Gaffney Award recognizing outstanding student-athletes.
Drake earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2020 before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2023. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri as well as before the U.S. Southern District of Illinois.
