Daniel represents clients in both personal injury and wrongful death claims, working to hold asbestos-related companies accountable for putting their profits ahead of people's safety.
Military Asbestos Exposure Cases
For much of the 20th century, asbestos was widely used across all branches of the military. As a result, veterans make up an estimated 33% of all mesothelioma diagnoses in the United States.
Daniel understands the unique challenges veterans and their families face when pursuing a military asbestos exposure claim, from piecing together service records to identifying which companies supplied the asbestos-containing products used on base or aboard a ship.
He can help veterans with mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer understand their legal options after military asbestos exposure.
Toxic Exposure Cases
Beyond asbestos, Daniel also represents clients harmed by other forms of toxic exposure, including those affected by PFAS-containing firefighting foam (AFFF) and the herbicide paraquat:
- AFFF has been used for decades by firefighters, military personnel, and airport crews to suppress fuel-based fires. Exposure to PFAS in AFFF has been linked to several types of cancer and serious diseases.
- Paraquat, meanwhile, is used by farmers and agricultural workers to control weeds. Exposure to this herbicide may increase the risk of Parkinson's disease.
As with asbestos litigation, these cases often involve companies that continued to sell harmful products despite internal knowledge of the risks. Daniel brings the same investigative approach, digging into corporate records to help clients hold negligent companies accountable.
Background & Experience
Daniel studied business at Excelsior College. He earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he participated in law review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, a national honor society recognizing academic excellence in law school.
Following law school, Daniel served as a judicial law clerk for United States District Court Judge C. Lynwood Smith, Jr.
He has taken on a wide range of complex litigation and class action cases, gaining rare insight into how large companies and insurance carriers make decisions behind the scenes. Today, he uses that same insight to level the playing field for the people harmed by those decisions.
