Sam Timpe Asbestos Paralegal

Sam Timpe

Asbestos Paralegal

Samantha Timpe has been with Sokolove Law for over 10 years. She holds a dual role as a mesothelioma paralegal and an investigator. As a paralegal, she is responsible for guiding families throughout the litigation process and offering emotional support.

Her work as an investigator allows her to visit and speak with asbestos victims and their families in person to understand the full history of their asbestos exposure. Sam believes every case is different and requires individual attention.

Sam offers a balance of legal knowledge and empathy to every person she encounters. Born and raised in Northwest Indiana, she attended undergrad at Indiana University and earned her Master’s in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. She is a proponent of equal opportunity to justice for all affected by asbestos.

Sam is almost too familiar with the usage of asbestos. Her father served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician aboard the USS Eisenhower and has since dedicated the rest of his career to ArcelorMittal Steel working in the electrical field. Nearly all of her uncles and cousins served under a branch of the military. As a young girl, she spent time living in Newport News, Virginia, near the Naval base so she could be with her parents as her father served our country.

Possibly as a result of secondhand exposure to asbestos, her paternal grandmother was diagnosed with lung and colon cancer. Although no fault of her grandfather, his profession as a bridge builder in downtown Chicago may have contributed to her grandmother’s asbestos exposure. Companies knew the health risks of asbestos, but kept the information hidden for years in order to profit.

Other family members and friends of hers have fallen ill due to cancer, and as a result, Sam has become an advocate for asbestos awareness. She has participated in national conferences and media appearances to showcase the capabilities of Sokolove Law and to spread the word about the dangers of asbestos. She has participated in charity events and run multiple road races geared at raising funds and awareness of asbestos-related diseases.

Despite being a Midwesterner at heart, as a native of Indiana, Sam spent 11 years residing in Massachusetts where she took on the role of a New Englander. She loved every aspect — besides their sports teams! Just recently she took a leap of faith and moved to Kansas City, Missouri for her next adventure.

Sam looks forward to hearing your story and seeing how Sokolove Law may be able to help you receive the justice and compensation your family deserves.
