Donna Olson, a Brooklyn resident with mesothelioma, was awarded $325 Million after a jury found Johnson & Johnson responsible for her exposure to asbestos.

Olson reportedly used the company’s baby powder and Shower to Shower products for decades before developing cancer.

The original verdict included $300 Million in punitive damages to punish J&J for their negligence. That award was later reduced to $120 Million before being overturned by the appellate branch of the New York Supreme Court.

$16.5 Million Talcum Powder Verdict in New York

The family of Florence Nemeth, a Long Island resident who developed peritoneal mesothelioma after using talc-based Desert Flower Dusting Powder in the 1960s and 1970s, was awarded $16.5 Million by a New York jury.
